Introduction
Click on the Travel and Recreation link (on the home page). Next click on the link to Travel Abroad then click on Passports and Visas to travel abroad.
If you already have an Irish passport but wish to obtain information on travelling to the U.S.A. (e.g. information regarding machine-readable passports), you can find information on this by clicking on the first link in the list i.e. Machine-readable Irish passports and travel to the U.S.A.
Step 4:
Once again go back to the home page and click on Moving Abroad link . Click Leaving Ireland and then the link Diplomatic Supports for Irish People Abroad.
From here, you can then click the link to the Department of Foreign Affairs via the 40 Irish embassies and 70 consulates-general link. Through this link you will find a list of Ireland’s embassies and consulates-general overseas.
Alternatively, you could reach here via the Department site (URL is www.foreignaffairs.gov.ie).
